The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the route from Newcastle to South Shields each year. It’s famous for its inclusive atmosphere, unbeatable on-route entertainment, and warm Geordie welcome!
It doesn’t matter whether you’re running to beat your personal best or just setting out, you’re guaranteed a run like no other – and a finish line feeling you’ll never forget.

London Marathon MyWay Virtual Challenge
Your run. Your way. Walk, jog or run this iconic virtual marathon. Take as long as you like and do it your way. All you need to do is complete your miles on 27th April 2025. The TCS London Marathon MyWay means everyone, of all abilities, can complete the 26.2 miles over 24 hours. This means more of us can get involved, even if we’ve not thought of taking on a marathon before.

🗺 Location: Do it your way: any time from 00:00 to 23:59:59 BST on the same day as the mass event in London. You can do it with friends or on your own, from home or away, in stages or all at once – it’s up to you!
The TCS London Marathon MyWay is your chance to complete 26.2 miles however and wherever you wish on Marathon Day. Pick the route of your choice: country fields, your local area, or even laps in your back garden. You can stop for breaks and do it in stages from wherever you are in the world. It gives you the freedom to complete the distance from 00:00 to 23:59:59 BST on the same day as the mass event.
All finishers will receive a TCS London Marathon medal and t-shirt. You’ll also get audio support and route tracking on the official app, which is powered by TCS.
If you are unable to complete the distance from 00:00 to 23:59:59 BST on Sunday 26th April 2026 for religious reasons or if you have a disability, please get in touch with London Marathon and they’ll work out a solution to suit you. (You’ll have to upload your result manually rather than via the Official TCS London Marathon App, as this service is only available on Marathon Day).

London Marathon – Charity Ballot
Take on the world-famous London Marathon in 2027 for Rett UK. As one of the most popular marathons in the world, it is an incredible experience not to be missed. The cheering crowds are amazing, and will be there to support and encourage you along the route.
Applications for our 2027 London Marathon charity places will open in April 2026. Rett UK have a limited number of London Marathon places each year. As such, we ask anyone who is interested in running for our charity to fill out our application form. This helps us shortlist all interested supporters and choose our runners. Please include as much detail as possible in your fundraising plans – we recommend at least three fundraising ideas to help you reach your £2,000 target.
