Everybody affected by Rett syndrome strives for the cure. Rett UK part funded the ground breaking genetic research conducted by Professor Adrian Bird which successfully reversed Rett symptoms in modified mice. This provides the basis for ongoing research and Rett UK continues to part fund this project. We also support social and therapeutic research programmes and provide lifelong support for people living with Rett syndrome.

We work with families at the point of diagnosis of this devastating condition and provide long term support to guide families and to facilitate positive outcomes. As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary we are able to make significant professional experience and expert clinical resources available to families in their time of need alongside our network of contact families who can support those with a new diagnosis.
