In partnership with the NHS, Rett UK attends multi-disciplinary clinics across the UK. Giving families access to consultant paediatricians, physiotherapists and speech & language therapists they are invaluable in supporting families.

Guy's & St Thomas', London

 

This childrens (under 19's) clinic is led by Dr Hilary Cass, a consultant in paediatric neurodisability.  Clinics are held monthly at the Evelina Childrens Hospital at Guys and St Thomas'.  A multi-disciplinary team generally see 3 families per clinic and appointmetns are booked some time in advance.  The team consists of Dr Cass, Speech & Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Rett UK's Family Support Manager.

 

St David's Children's Hospital, Cardiff

 

Led by Professor Angus Clarke, consultant in Clinical Genetics.  Clinics are held at St David Childrens Hospital twice per year. Appointments are made some time in advance, the clinic generally sees adults (those 19 and over) and families with a CDKL5 or FOXG1 mutation.  This multidisciplinary clinic is staffed by Prof. Clarke, Dr, Ania Jaworska (BIRSS) , a Professor of Learning Disability Psychiatry, two Physiotherapists, a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Rett UK's Family Support Manager.

 

Nottingham City Hospital, Nottingham

 

Led by Dr Jane Williams, Consultant Paediatrican at Nottingham City Hospital. This is a childrens clinic (under 19's) and appointments are arranged well in advance.
