This is a great opportunity to meet other families, share experiences, tips and gain mutual support plus hear from our experienced and knowledgeable professionals on a range of Rett related topics. This is open to families, carers and other professionals involved in supporting someone with Rett syndrome. The programme has been finalised and includes: breathing and sleep issues, research, epilepsy, communication strategies and Education, Health and Care Plans. You will also have the chance to sign up for some 1:1 sessions which include music therapy, physio, EHCP plans, Personal Health Budgets and eye gaze/communication strategies. We also hope to be able to offer some 1:1 sessions with our specialist dentist, Stacey Clough.
Our AGM will also be on Saturday 14th October 2017. Proxy voting papers for Rett UK members will be posted out shortly.
This is a free event for families and anyone involved in supporting someone who has Rett syndrome. We have posted out invites to our families in the area but if you would like to invite someone who is working with your son or daughter please ask them to contact us for more information or book a place via Eventbrite . We strongly encourage you to use this opportunity to get your professionals to come along and listen to the presentations.
Volunteer Carers Needed!
We will provide childcare and activities for people with Rett syndrome so carers can listen to the presentations. We would love to hear from any support staff such as mid day supervisors or teaching assistants who would be interested in being part of the care team for the Saturday. We give a £50 thank you to any carers helping on the day.
